I've written content across the spectrum of online formats. From banner ads to technical manuals, each format is an opportunity for strategic storytelling based on the audience, platform and medium. I've been enjoying a wild ride through the tech world, gathering insights in UX and content strategy at a small DNS start-up, to executing high-impact product launches at an internet giant.
philosophy
Content is all about getting people from A to B. At A, someone is ready to learn about your product, service, or company. At B, the info you've shared changes how they think or act.
I think about the different types of content that I write as moving people on this journey at a variety of speeds. For UX writing, this journey from confusion to action is swift and efficient. For marketing, it's a little slower and in general is a little more fun. For books and literature, this journey can take a lifetime. For me, I truly enjoy modulating tone and technique for each type of content I write.
